We are Hiring an
Executive Director

Lead with Purpose. Build with Vision.

The Healing and CPTSD Foundation is actively seeking a Volunteer Executive Director to help lead the next evolution of our nonprofit.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone ready to step in, take initiative, and bring big vision to life. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, managing internal communications, and building out a passionate, aligned volunteer team. You’ll also recruit, interview, and onboard volunteers, work directly with the Board of Directors, and help shape the strategic direction of the foundation as we grow.

We’re looking for someone who is:
✔️ A self-starter who doesn’t wait for permission
✔️ Experienced in nonprofit or grassroots leadership (or ready to rise into it)
✔️ Comfortable in both visionary and operational roles
✔️ Passionate about trauma-informed care and survivor-centered work
✔️ Committed to growing a mission — not just managing one

This is a unique opportunity to help shape a survivor-led foundation that funds healing, advocates for systemic change, and challenges the way trauma is understood and supported.

This is a volunteer position with high responsibility, high impact, and deep purpose.

If you’re ready to lead, build, and be part of something that matters:

Join our
Board of Directors

Help Lead a Survivor-Led Movement Toward Systemic Change.

The Healing and CPTSD Foundation is seeking values-aligned individuals to join our Board of Directors — a volunteer leadership team committed to guiding the strategic vision, ethical governance, and long-term impact of our organization.

As a board member, you’ll help shape a nonprofit rooted in trauma-informed care, survivor advocacy, and access to healing. You’ll provide oversight, accountability, and insight while supporting the foundation’s growth through collaborative leadership, committee involvement, and mission-aligned decision-making.

We're looking for individuals who:
✔️ Have a passion for healing justice, mental health equity, or trauma-informed advocacy
✔️ Bring experience in fields like nonprofit governance, finance, law, fundraising, mental health, policy, or lived experience with trauma
✔️ Are committed to survivor-centered values and inclusive, ethical leadership
✔️ Can attend quarterly virtual board meetings and participate in committee work

Whether you're a seasoned board member or a passionate changemaker ready to lead for the first time, your voice matters here.

This is a volunteer position with real impact. You’ll help ensure that survivors are not only heard — but supported, funded, and fought for.

Join our Community Advisory Board

Be the Voice. Represent the Mission. Help Us Grow From the Inside Out.

The Healing and CPTSD Foundation is calling in passionate, values-aligned individuals to join our Community Advisory Board — a group of volunteers who represent the heart of our community and help shape the way we show up, serve, and advocate.

This is not a governing board. This is a voice-amplifying, community-rooted role for those who want to represent survivor perspectives, provide feedback, share ideas, and act as ambassadors for our mission.

As a Community Advisory Board member, you’ll:
🔹 Represent the lived experience of our community — especially marginalized voices
🔹 Provide insight and feedback on programs, campaigns, and community needs
🔹 Help spread awareness about our work and mission through your networks
🔹 Attend virtual gatherings and collaborate on key initiatives
🔹 Be a bridge between our nonprofit and the people we serve

We’re looking for people who are:
✔️ Survivors or allies who deeply understand trauma and healing
✔️ Passionate about representation, inclusion, and community care
✔️ Open to collaboration, feedback, and honest dialogue
✔️ Excited to be part of something purpose-driven and people-led

This is a volunteer position that centers voice over power — impact over hierarchy.

If you believe in survivor-led change and want to help shape the future of trauma-informed advocacy:

Join our Advocacy Committee

Help Us Create a Trauma-Informed World — One Policy, Voice, and System at a Time.

The Healing and CPTSD Foundation is building a future where survivors of complex trauma are not just supported — but seen, heard, and protected by the systems meant to serve them. That vision needs passionate advocates like you.

We’re seeking volunteer members for our Advocacy Committee, a team of survivors, allies, and changemakers who are ready to take action on behalf of those impacted by CPTSD and systemic trauma.

As a committee member, you’ll:
🔹 Help shape campaigns to advocate for CPTSD recognition in the DSM
🔹 Support trauma-informed policy work in healthcare, mental health, education, and justice systems
🔹 Collaborate on petitions, public awareness initiatives, and legislative outreach
🔹 Offer lived or professional insight into how trauma shows up in real-world systems
🔹 Help grow our voice, reach, and impact in the advocacy space

We’re looking for people who are:
✔️ Survivors or allies with lived or professional experience in trauma-related fields
✔️ Passionate about systems change, mental health equity, and survivor rights
✔️ Skilled in (or excited to learn about) advocacy, policy, writing, organizing, or outreach
✔️ Willing to collaborate, listen, and build campaigns that reflect our values

This is a volunteer position for those ready to turn pain into power and voice into action.

Join our Events Committee

Create Impactful, Heart-Led Events That Fund Healing and Inspire Change.

The Healing and CPTSD Foundation is seeking passionate, organized, and creative volunteers to join our Events Committee — a team dedicated to planning and executing events that bring our mission to life.

Whether it’s a healing-centered community gathering, a fundraising bike ride, or a national CPTSD awareness event, our experiences are designed to uplift survivors, raise critical funds, and spread trauma-informed education.

As a committee member, you’ll:
🔹 Help plan and support virtual and in-person events aligned with our mission
🔹 Assist with logistics, promotion, sponsorship outreach, and community engagement
🔹 Collaborate with a values-aligned team to create trauma-informed experiences
🔹 Contribute your creativity, skills, or connections to help events run smoothly and powerfully
🔹 Play a key role in fundraising, awareness, and community-building efforts

We’re looking for people who are:
✔️ Organized, creative, and excited to be part of something meaningful
✔️ Passionate about trauma-informed spaces and healing-centered connection
✔️ Experienced in (or willing to learn) event logistics, outreach, hosting, or promotion
✔️ Available to attend virtual meetings and support event timelines

This is a volunteer opportunity that lets you use your talents to create real-world impact — while helping survivors feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

Fuel the Mission. Fund the Healing. Help Us Make Change Sustainable.

The Healing and CPTSD Foundation is powered by generosity, grassroots support, and bold belief in what’s possible. We’re building a trauma-informed world — and we need a strong financial foundation to get there.

We’re seeking committed, values-aligned volunteers to join our Fundraising Committee — a team dedicated to raising the funds that support our healing grants, community programs, and advocacy work.

As a committee member, you’ll:
🔹 Help plan and execute fundraising campaigns, donor outreach, and sponsorship opportunities
🔹 Contribute ideas, strategy, or connections that can grow our funding base
🔹 Support peer-to-peer fundraising efforts and collaborate with other committees (like Events or Advocacy)
🔹 Assist with donor communications, gratitude practices, and storytelling that honors impact
🔹 Be a part of building a survivor-centered, financially sustainable nonprofit from the inside out

We’re looking for people who are:
✔️ Passionate about trauma recovery, equity, and systemic healing
✔️ Skilled in (or eager to learn) fundraising, outreach, sponsorships, or communications
✔️ Comfortable connecting with others, sharing the mission, and building relationships
✔️ Creative, collaborative, and committed to helping the mission grow

This is a volunteer opportunity for heart-forward fundraisers, relationship-builders, and mission-advancers.
