Dr. Dawn Gullette Crosson

Dr. Dawn Gullette Crosson is a native of Philadelphia, PA and completed her undergrad and master’s degree from the Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA. She later obtained a second masters and a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Philadelphia College
of Osteopathic Medicine. She is a licensed Psychologist, trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and is a certified trauma therapist and has been in the field of psychology since 1996. Dr. Dawn has a vast array of experience within human services and working with at-risk children
and youth. She is a noted trainer and has taught post-secondary collegiate classes at Phoenix University and Messiah University. She has provided trainings for Dauphin County for over 10 years on topics focusing on understanding the mental health disorders of the populations most
served. Dr. Dawn is currently the sole proprietor of an outpatient office, Petra Psychological Services, LLC. She serves on the Adverse Childhood Experiences (A.C.E.) Executive Committee providing trauma informed training to agencies and the community throughout the county of Dauphin. Dr. Dawn is the founder and Executive Clinical Director of the Harrisburg Area Learning Academy, Inc. that includes an Intensive Family Based Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy Program and the Central PA Center for Trauma and Healing (CCTH) which is the first Trauma Recovery Center (TRC) in Pennsylvania and 34th in the
Country.

We do not provide crisis care, crisis intervention or professional therapeutic services. All participants and members are encouraged to seek and maintain appropriate professional care from licensed mental health and medical providers. Our programs provide community-based peer support and are not a substitute for professional therapy or medical treatment. Participation requires that individuals are medically and mentally stable.
